How the estimate works
- Full backups are estimated from protected size after the selected compression reduction.
- Daily changed data is divided across the selected incremental frequency; frequency affects operational scheduling, not the total changed data retained per day.
- The total includes full copies that fall inside the retention period plus daily changed-data volume and the selected planning buffer.
